We watched Weapons tonight because we’re still feeling spooky. It was really good! Four out of five stars for me, which is to say: I definitely recommend it. A step short, perhaps, of my absolute favorite kind of horror, I don’t think it’s like a masterpiece or anything, but it is definitely one of the better horror films I’ve seen in quite some time. Like, WAY better than Longlegs, for example. On par with Smile 2, which might have been ever so slightly better than this? Maybe? I don’t know. Very close, and both of those were very, very good. Watch it!
Got to hang out with Lizderfer and Ali today. Goodness I love those two. It’s always insanely delicious food with them, and today was no exception. Hung out at their house. Their pup Rooster is a dream boat. Gave me lots of kisses. The type of dog to lay down at everyone’s feet, one by one, so everyone gets a little Rooster time.
Took a decent nap. Could have gone longer. Probably will tomorrow. Warriors lost. Boo. But watched the movie with Liz, yay. Started Midsummer, but need to properly buckle down and watch it tomorrow. Helen Mirren plays Titania. Love that. Not so sure about everyone else’s casting, lol. We’ll see. I’ll probably end up watching several versions of it. We’ll see.
