Tonight’s fine distinction IS… “Flail” versus “Mace” versus “Morning Star.” Weapons! Let’s get into it.
A flail has a chain with something to swing at the end of it. Most famously, we think of a spiked ball. APPARENTLY, however, in real history, it was usually just another stick of wood at the other end, called a “swipple,” and it was a farming tool used to knock out wheat berries.
A mace does not have a chain. It’s one solid stick with a bulbous weapon on the end.
A morning star is a mace with a spiked end.
So, there you go. Don’t bring a mace to a flail fight.

Twas a Wolfie day. Saturday instead of Sunday because we’re doing some stuff tomorrow when we would have met. We played badminton in their yard (got our volley up to 13 times!), then Mario: Odyssey on the switch for an hour after. It was super fun. That’s one of the most fun games we’ve played together, I think. Wolfie even said so.
Took a nap that was too brief, but better than nothing. Watched F1 — drama during the sprint race! Oscar crashed out. He’s now 9 points behind Lando for the diver’s championship. First thing during the day, I watched Wrexham beat Carlton 1-nil. Woohoo! We’ve been playing really, really well lately. Hopefully it keeps up after the international break, which is twooooo weeeeeeks, ugh.
We finished the night off with Grand Designs and snuggling with the pups, all three of them with Tommen visiting, on the couch. These are the good days. Night night.
