It was a burnout day today. But I mean that in a good way. Like, I handled the burnout. MASSIVE nap. Almost two hours, I think, which might interfere a bit with going to bed tonight, but I don’t know. I did it decently early. I needed it. Majorly. Read some. Watched a bit of the sports. Warriors won. I DJ’d a little bit for the first time in FOREVER. Guys, I have soooooooo much music. Like…two or three YEARS of collecting fun tracks that I haven’t put into sets. Well, that’s on the agenda. And the process started today. Tonight, really. I had the Warriors game on the TV and I dj’d while it played. It’s perfect, now, because the controller is set up over right behind the couch, so we face the TV when we play, now. Love it.
We did brunch with our neighbors and bourgeoning new friends. It was lovely. Genuinely lovely. Delicious food, mimosas, great conversation. It’s really exciting to get to know peeps in our neighborhood. And their house is beautiful. They’re also dog people, just like us.
Oh! And I did my writing to start the morning. Not both sessions, but one of them. A little rough, but important. Get back up to speed after missing a couple days last week because of reasons. Good ones, too. It happens. Keep grinding at this new story. It’s getting there. Still some major stuff to figure out, but it’s getting there. Back at it in the morning. I think this is the week to have a perfect set of writing sessions. It will be the first time since starting the outline, if I can do it.
Night night.
