Tonight’s fine distinction is Volts vs Amps vs Watts.
Let’s actually start with Amps, which is a measure of the amount of electricity, how much current.
Volts is a measure of the pressure of that electrical current.
Watts is a measure of the total electrical output, and is simply a function of the previous two measurements, Amps x Volts = Watts. Electrical output is what drives up the utility bill.
So, it electricity is like water in a hose, which is apparently a fairly accurate comparison, amps would be how much water is in there, volts would be how much pressure is pushing that water, and watts would be a measurement of both of those together. Cool!

A nothing day, which I guess I needed. Sigh. It’s crazy how fast such days just slip by. I tried to take a nap, but I wasn’t sleepy enough. I guess that means I’ve been getting enough sleep at night, which is good. I did clean a bit. Watched The Substance which…I liked it a lot more than I thought I was going to after the first 30-40 minutes or so of it. Good lord that script is ROUGH in parts. The way its shot, too, is frustratingly amateur at times. BUT. The concept is genuinely spectacular. The two leads are spectacular. And I was genuinely impressed with the progressive complications. Until the ending, which…was fine. I like a movie like that to go crazy, and we did, so kudos there…but with a statement like this film was making, I thought the ending was surprisingly void of a point. I was expecting something…scathing. As it was, it was just bat shit kinda for bat shit sake. Anyway. It was still fine. And yeah. In the end, I enjoyed the movie more than I expected to after that first act. It was too loose in the details and execution to hit as hard as it should have, though.
Read a bit. Watched some Shakespeare. Took care of the pups.
