A successful Christmas! We were both up early, Liz even earlier than me, braved the wet, and spent it over, mostly, at the Kings’. The kids all got great stuff—Mir a really nice jewelry box and some great dresses; Tilde an electric guitar with amp and a dive coat; Wolfie a model and lego sets, plus some games he really wanted—and we got to watch. We brought the pups, too, and they did great. Cooper, especially, was a hit. He’s in his old man era, now, and his vibe is all cuddles all the time. Almost every single person there snuggled with him at one point in time. Cat was happy, energetic more so than I expected…

It was a perfect day. It felt normal. And very happy.

We saw Joe, Madhuri, Ashi and Aavy after that. They’re doing good, thank goodness. Happy and healthy. And then we came home, took care of the pups, ate some food, I watched the Warriors game while Liz TikTok’d…and now we’re beat. Tired tired tired.

I’m going to force myself up tomorrow morning to get back into the writing chair. Sigh. Wish me luck. It’s going to be difficult. But I need it. Need it.

Night night.
