And my first finished book of the year is…Carl’s Doomsday Scenario. Second book in the series. Very much enjoyed it. Princess Donut, genuinely, is one of the great characters out there. Ever. They make those books sing. And also, the narration—because I’m listening to them—is absolutely spectacular. I’m really really loving listening to the series. Can’t wait to finish it.
Someone of my family may be dying tomorrow. That’s the other doomsday scenario that’s going on, sigh. It’s been coming. Which has been its own unique kind of devastation. But tomorrow…tomorrow will be the most. There are kids involved.
Work was very very busy today, and very very long. But I did get everything done I needed to, thank goodness. I told work what was going on. They were very kind about it, and understanding. I spent some time this evening putting together everything they might need while I was gone.
