We’ve got the Coops established at a new vet. Woohoo! It’s a doctor we know and love from his old vet—which shuttered a few weeks ago, much to our surprise; they didn’t even inform us—and, even better…it’s ten minutes from our house. Extra Woohoo!
Bit of a swing and a miss today, which I’m not surprised about, lol. Sigh. You guys, I think the biggest thing that I have learned from doing this blog now for 10+ years is this: tomorrow is a new day. Whatever happened today no longer matters. It’s done. Flush it. Forget it. Tomorrow is a clean slate. Re-commit. Sports athletes talk about it all the time; you have to have a short memory. I’ve developed that, and this blog has been a massive part of finding that skill—of even realizing it was a skill I needed. Sitting down here to write every night helps me let go of my day and have a think on what I want tomorrow to bring.
So…yeah. Not much in the win department writing-wise today, but tomorrow is a new day. Resistance be resisting. But I’ll get past it.
Joy is curled up in the blankets over on Liz’s side of the bed right now, and with her long, recently-shampooed hair, she looks like a guinea pig. My little guinea pig.
A storm is coming tomorrow. Not sure if it will actually rain, but it’s going to be cold. I can’t wait. Not all the time, mind you…but a week here and there just to bring the temps down. Chef’s kiss.
Night night.
