Busy Sunday! Busy busy Sunday. Always is when it’s a Wolfie weekend, which it was. But it staaaaarted with me getting my writing done! Three pages, but better than nothing. MUCH better than nothing. I think I’m back in. Whew. Looking forward to a full six tomorrow morning. And outlining in the evening! Really looking forward to it. Put me in a great mood for the day, which is exactly why I’m working so hard to make this fresh pages in the morning, outlining at night the new normal. Because I feel so so good when I start my day by getting pages done on the next book.
Ate real quick and then hustled over to pick Wolfie up. We played catch today over at the park nearby. Wolfie pitched for a bit, then took some grounders and learned about how when you run up on a grounder and then keep running towards the base you’re throwing to, you can get a lot more on the throw. We got sushi from Ralph’s after that—his favorite, cucumber and avocado—and came home to play Mario Odyssey together for an hour. That’s always our time limit to play: an hour.
Took him home and then stayed for a while to help Matt get their new mesh Wi-fi system up. Oh, how I hope it solves their issues for them. Mesh. Orbi, which is what we have. We’re actually on our second Orbi system, one from the apartment days, and then a new one when we moved in here. Game. Changer. Absolute game changer. We literally installed that system and have never worried about our WiFi ever again. It just works. And I hope that’s what they have, now. We’ll see. They have a challenging house in that it’s a split-level.
And then I had some stuff to read and copy edit when I got home. One was the magazine that Liz put together for our Hawaii trip, and the other was a piece by my cousin Kevin (hi, dude – if you’re reading this: well done!:). Did those, and it was time to walk Coops. Walked him. Ate dinner. Watched the end of the 2024 season of Alone with Liz…and now it’s bed time.
A packed packed day, man. But I did good. Did what I needed to. Night night.
