Day 3,493: 37 Miles…
Again, today I rode further than I’ve ever rode on a bike before: thirty-seven miles. One biiiiiig caveat here: it was on an e-Bike. Lol. Man. That shit is SO MUCH EASIER than a normal bike, omg. I was dyyyinnggg yesterday from the 26 mile ride on a normal bike....
Day 3,492: 26 Miles
I…rode a bike further today than I have ever ridden a bicycle. WITH INCLINES. 1,600 feet of them, in fact. I am very, very tired. BUT…the legs held up, I think. I hope. We’ll see tomorrow. As of right now, they’re fine. Hopefully they remain that way by morning....
Day 3,491: The Mustard!
We made it to Dijon. An adventure! To be sure. But, here we are. Taking the train was actually magical. So fast. So smooth. Got here in no time. Didn’t even have to take a nap. The station in Paris we left from was also pretty and PACKED. People actually use trains...
Day 3,490: The Hos!
The Hos are once again united. We met them over in a new hotel after breakfast and laundry, we did a little shopping, and then we all went over to dinner together. It was SO GOOD. Super solid. Especially the dessert, which was a lemon sorbet, merengue, cream/custard,...
Day 3,489: Walking!
Man. Liz and I *walk* when we’re on vacay. Almost 10 miles today. Almost 10 miles every day, in fact. It helps with the appetite, I’ll say that. A really, really lovely day. Amazing weather. Great food. Saw some cool paintings (the first starry night, for example, is...
Day 3,488: An Intense Day
Man. It’s important to live your life. Sure, it’s impossible to actually live every single day like it’s your last; our brains simply won’t hang onto that kind of intensity long-term, nor should they. But it is absolutely possible to hold long-term that you’re not...
Day 3,487: Walking!
We walked today, and waaaalked and walked and walked. Almost ten miles! It was so fun. I’m quite literally falling asleep at my keyboard, and we have to get up early in the morning, so I’ll make tonight’s entry pretty short, I think. Having a great time. Good food....
Day 3,486: Marais
I had my first burgundy today. It was a general “cote challonaise,” ie- nothing special or specific in terms of vineyard, meaning ‘fancy’…but still! A genuine, bonafide burgundy. Never had one before. It was delicious. As expected. Very light. Very tart. Not a ton of...
Day 3,486: The Day We ACTUALLY Lost
Ha hahaaaaaa. Found another day that was lost on the blog, but, see guys, THIS ONE ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE. We actually lost a day on the flight over to France. I literally slept through it on the plane over, and then I didn't write it first thing when we landed because...
Day 3,485: Packed!
Floaty kind of Sunday. Going on a trip and we’re all packed. Don’t have to leave tomorrow until the afternoon, so I’m excited to have a little more time to get some writing done. Pups are over at Stephen and Thida’s and I miiisssss them soooo muuuuch. Night...
