I’m sitting up in bed here, getting ready to write some amazingly deep or ponderous blog about amazingly deep and ponderous things…and all I can think about is how fucking amazing the clean sheets that I’m slipped between feel. You guys know what I’m talking about; there’s nothing quite like it.

Also, let the record show, the down comforter has *officially* made its first appearance of the season. Finally!

Ya, it’s friggin November, I know that. But it has been waaaarrrmmmm down here. I still think it was in the 80s today, but it’s steadily been cooling at night. Tonight I was making the bed and Coops was looking up at me, all like, “listen Alpha, it’s cold. It’s time.” And I couldn’t argue with that. So plop, on it went, and on it will stay till probably…I dunno, April? Or May? Liz and I both grew up in Northern California, or NorCal for the cool kids, and in comparison to down here, you could probably keep a comforter on all year round. What I’m saying, is that it’s something we look forward to.

Today was a work day. I usually don’t on the weekends, finally quitting that one day a week at the Magg was to actually give me two days off in a week, but this time I had to. I’m not sure if I mentioned it in the blog yesterday, but I had taken a much-needed mental day Friday. There’s a lot going on right now between work, wedding planning, family health issues, etc. and it was all kinda blending into one giant stress storm of swirling poo. So I took a mental day; I worked two hours and called it quits. Slid into bed early, watched some Netflix stuff for an hour or two, and just stopped thinking about anything.

It worked 😛 I honestly wasn’t sure if it was going to be enough, and that maybe today would have to just be a day off too, but I woke up and got to work, and 8 hours later, I’m almost caught all the way back up. Like, two hours away. It felt like a huge accomplishment. I can make good money doing what I’m doing, and it’s nice when that actually happens.

Tomorrow will be a lightweight day of a little bit of work, a couple hours spread out between sleeping in a *tiny* bit, going to agility with Liz and Cooper (first time in literally like two months that both Liz and I will be there together), and watching the Niners destroy the Carolina Panthers. Yes, I’m a Niners fan too. “But, you like the Oakland A’s!” you say. “Shouldn’t you be a Raiders fan?” you ask. No. When I was growing up, the Raiders represented two things: Los Angeles, because that’s where they were at the time, and ghetto scary-ness, because gang members wore Raiders shit. THEN, they came back to Oakland and ruined my baseball stadium. So, no. I am most definitely not a Raiders fan.

To make a long story short, it will be a glorious day. Sundays are my favorite. Recharge for the week.

Sleepiness abounds. If you’re reading this, you should consider making friends with your pillow. He’s probably a nice dude with lots of insight on how to get super rested.

Night bitches!

ps – Almost forgot to commemorate that this is the first blog I’ve written with my new iPad case with keyboard. Pretty damn easy. I love it!
