Today was supposed to be a kickass writing day, and instead it turned into a mediocre editing day. Sigh. I wish I was more disciplined, I really do. Scratch that…I wish my journey toward being more disciplined was moving faster.
There were too many distractions today that I let myself get sucked into. It happens. I’m going to have a kick ass writing day tomorrow AND get my editing work done. You heard it here first. It’s happening. I just spent 10 minutes going through what I need to write tomorrow.
Starting Monday, I am trying this one day on, one day off schedule. Though the “off” day won’t be a real off day, because I’ll be doing editing work. But, yeah…I think it might work for me to get this draft done, and I can still be done by next week…two weeks behind schedule, but done nonetheless. Then, it’s a matter of reading it through and figuring out what needs to be rewritten. A lot will. I think those rewrites will take me a good couple weeks. But then…with any luck…it’ll be tweaks from there on out, and then the self-editing process, and then finally to my editors.
It’s time for bed now, good night 😛
