Work day today, the first full one of 2014. Focus was hard to come by, let me tell you. I just hadn’t done it in so long. Three weeks, to be exact. I had to get back in the swing of things. But, after all is said and done, I actually finished just 15 minutes over time. I know! It amazed me too. And, I got everything done. The only thing that worries me is whether or not there will be enough work tomorrow morning for me to get a proper head start. I have a haircut at noon, you see, and I want to get a certain amount done before leaving for it. That’s the key, as I’ve said here before; if I can get around half my work done before it hits later in the afternoon, 1:30/2:00 or so, then I know I’ll get my work done 100%. If I haven’t…it’s more like 70%. Not a fan of that number.

The Coops and I hung out pretty much all day. He was a little roudier than normal today, wanted to wrestle with me a couple times, and got all antsy like a full hour before he was supposed to eat. As I sit here now in bed, I realize that’s probably due to the same exact reason I was antsy today. It’s been 3 weeks since we last did this routine. Liz, though, took him to a tricks class and then stayed for agility, so he got worked over big time. He’s passed the fuck out right now on the bed. That’s how we like him 😛

Liz is reminding me to share this video I watched today, which I’ve embedded below. It’s this guy, Kevin Richardson, who I believe is South African. People call him the Lion Whisperer because he’s adopted himself into this pride of Lions that live on a Preserve. He’s also, incredibly, worked his way into several Hyena packs too, which blows my mind. Anyway, the video below was sponsored by Go Pro, and they go out into the Preserve with him and get just some incredible footage of him with the animals. It’s pretty incredible. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing, being someone who’s watched the documentary “Grizzly Man” and all, but there’s no denying he has some special access to these wild animals that is worth getting footage of. And there’s some great stuff.

I had heard of this guy before, actually, I think it was just an article with photos, no video, but for some reason this video just hit it huge on the social media. It was posted back in November. Go figure.

Anywho, that’s all for tonight. Tomorrow is another work day. I’m digging this schedule so far, actually. Work days always seem equally hard, even when I’m shooting for less hours done…so why not just make it the most hours I know I can do and give myself more days in the week where I don’t have to edit? Right? Right.

Love you all!
