Awesome gas-giant artwork tonight from David A. Hardy.

The next draft outline for my pilot is finished. Roughly, anyway, but it’s the biggest step towards getting this next draft written. By far. It’s the whole thing, beat by beat, from beginning to end. I say “roughly” because I still need to work out some beats in certain scenes before I commit the words to the actual screenplay page. But…it’s written. It’s a good rewrite, I think. I hope. We shall see, anyway.

“We shall see”…that should be the title of this blog. I think I’ve even said *that* before as well. It’s just an appropriate phrase, I guess. It’s mostly used in the sense that, “here’s the plan I have in my head, but I have no idea if things will actually turn out that way.” It’s not the worst phrase in the world, no that I think about it. It’s kind of appropriate for how I’m trying to live my life these days. In the present.

Twas a good day today. I knew I wanted to get that outline finished, and so I did. Filled up my two writing hours, just like I thought it would. I also thought I might get into bed a bit early and rewrite the beginning of my Trek short stoy, but alas, that was not to be. Instead…

The Ho and I watched Dracula Untold tonight, and it was fun. Horribly fun, but fun nonetheless. The best part? It was 1 hr 35 minutes. Now THATS a terrible film I can get behind! It had the guy from the Hobbit in it that shoots the arrow that kills Smaug the dragon. He’s the hero. Except that he’s not a Count, he’s a prince, and he’s also actually Vlad the Impaler. Not sure why all that was necessary, but they clearly wanted to have battle scenes in the movie with lots and lots of soldiers.

Coops has been having what the Ho and I call “jelly poos” the past couple days. He had terrible diarrhea a couple nights ago, but even after that subsided, his stool has been coming out with streaks of red in it. Usually it goes away after a couple days, but this time it seems to be getting worse, not better. So, I think I’m taking him into the vet tomorrow morning. I don’t believe it’s anything too serious, actually, given that he’s been otherwise acting completely normally, eating, playing, no yelps of pain when we press on various parts of his tum-tum…but still. Unless the poops are completely clear come morning, he needs to get it checked out to be safe. Coco, on the other hand…she’s a tank. Can’t nothing stop her from rolling.

It was just a good day today. Got a bunch of miscellaneous apartment stuff done, got my writing done…and that was about it. Took a nap. Took care of the pups. Hung out with the Ho. It was a really solid nice day off. I needed it. More rest tomorrow, and then we’re off to Halloween down at Disneyland; a tradition.

Night guys and gals 😉
