More badass arwork that is distinctively John Berkey.

There was a point last night, right around when Liz came to bed, when I thought this whole sore throat thing might be something legitimately serious. It was on FIRE. But…

…I woke up this morning feeling a slight bit better, and that throat on fire had burned down to a pile of glowing embers. I can still feel it tonight as I sit in bed writing this entry, but it’s much diminished. The achiness and the general lack of energy persists…alas. But, it’s definitely “under the weather” territory so far. I’d bed the house needs a good vacuuming and dusting, too.

The Ho is out of town for almost a week. A WEEK. She’s up north with the fam, leaving me down here to defend myself in my weakened state. Or should I saw “weekend” state 😛

No, no weekend for me, I’m afraid. I was most definitely not feeling my best all day, not even close, and I still managed to get an entire day’s work in. Top to bottom. I was even “ahead” of schedule for most of the time. I think I’m going to enjoy this new Netflix job. I’m still not sure if I’m actually doing a good job or not…but it’s been a nice fit so far. It makes my days much less challenging because, simply put, the Netflix work requires a lot less intensive thought than the Remilon work. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely still have to be putting in heaps of critical thinking into the ‘flix work…just not quite as constant as the Remilon work. And that’s nice. Plus, the upside of hourly means that if I do run across an assignment that’s particularly challenging to find still for, I can spend some extra time on it without being penalized pay-wise.

So, yeah. I dig it.

I’m well into the first season of Enterprise now. I’d forgotten completely how much they really pushed the Archer/T’Pol “chemistry” angle. It’s so blatant and misguided. Seriously, you guys…Enterprise is my least favorite show, and my least favorite by a HUGE margin. It might be the only Trek series I actively dislike…we’ll see what happens, though. I’m in it for the long haul. It’s still a Trek show. And after I finish it, I will have “watched” every single episode of Star Trek that exists…in one year of work. THAT’S CRAY CRAY. It’s hard to believe. But, that’s a testament to how much time I spent sitting at my computer this year, toiling away. That’s the theme of 2015.

Anywho, this whole entry has been somewhat of a race against time 😛 I took Benadryl to try and stave off more sore-throat-ness, and it’s going to hit my like a Mack truck soon. Tomorrow, Ryan and Lisa come into town! So excited to have them 🙂

Good night, guys. No writing today, and that’s two days in a row…I blame rent, and I blame the sickness. Tomorrow, hopefully, I feel better and I have a solid writing sesh. Till then!
