My family is in town!
It’s so nice to have them here. For reals. I’ve been looking forward to having them down for Christmas now for a couple of months, and they’re here. Scott, Addie, my mom, my dad. We’re only missing Seth, who’s working this year. Sad face. But the rest of the gang is here and I’m so happy to have them.
I got my work done. It was a work day until they got here and I *just* had time to get everything squared away before they arrived. It couldn’t have been timed any better.
I did my editing work first, which was the rest of my Netflix work week and my remaining narrations. I end the week 8 shy of my original goal, but I can absolutely live with that. I calculated out the rest of the narration work to knock out this backlog that they’re letting me help with, and I can finish the rest of it in 4 days. Nothing, yo. Nothing.
Jojo is staying with us, that’s my parent’s dog. He’s a Maltese, and so so sweet. A bit scattered in terms of the training department, but an easy fit with our two dogs. He’s not aggressive at all, which is what Cooper does best with. He’s currently asleep on Liz’s side of the bed, and seemingly quite content. I set up his bed over in by my side on the floor, but Cooper has taken up residence there. Coco is on my side in between my legs, like she usually is.
We’re opting not to do Disneyland, like we had talked about. It’s just so expensive, and my mom wasn’t necessarily feeling down for an entire day, plus the fact that it’s *crazy* down there right now with everyone being out of school. We’re going to do other stuff instead. Huzzah 🙂
After getting my work done, I helped the Ho with the rest of the cleaning of the house including a load of laundry, vacuuming, and all the straightening up and setting up for our guests. And I had time to take a shower and put fresh clothes on and then bam, they were here. It was perfection.
I am tired, and so now it is time for the sleeps. G’Night. Glad to have my family here 🙂 And I miss you Seth. Wishing you were here too, and looking forward to seeing you soon. See…that’s me being optimistic that my family reads my journals 😛 I know some people do out there, I see the site stats…whomever you are, kudos. I can’t imagine this is all that entertaining for anyone other than myself 😛
