So, 818 is the area code for the valley, which is where I live. Seemed only appropriate to call that out, since it will only happen once on this bloggity blog.

Man, busy day today. Hopefully that doesn’t bite me in the ass tomorrow. Tomorrow is a work day. I considered perhaps making it not a work day, but to be honest, I’m ready for another full one. It was nice to get all my work done early last week and have several days “off” in a row…but I’m ready to go back to normal schedule times again.

Anyway…back to today…so I slept in a bit. Still only got 6 hours sleep because of the late night last night, but it was nice to sleep in to 10am. Then, hung out with Ker-Bear and Emily for the rest of the morning, and then with the Ho too after she finished doing her rehearsal for acting class. I played a little bit of Skyrim whilst they watched, and then we watched some football for a while. Had no idea they were fans. That was fun.

Then they left and the Ho and I got some stuff done around the apartment, and then it was off over to Beverly Hills for a Shih Tzu meetup. A pup from out of town, Potato McTater was here, and a bunch of Instagram Shih Tzus all showed up. We’ve done a few of these now, and they always seem to be quite a bit of fun. It’s really neat to meet all of these dogs whose pictures I see all the time, see them in person and actually see their personalities.

Everybody loves the Coco. She’s just so inert. She just kinda chills out, and people gravitate towards that for some reason. That and she’s super fluffs right now, so she looks (and is) all soft. But people were picking her up all day. All day. Coops, well he’s a food hound. He spends these meet ups saying hi to as many humans as he can and finding out if they have any treats for him.

No writing today. First day I haven’t done that in a while, but it’s okay. All this activity is has actually started to make me feel better and more like myself again, instead of brooding over “will I ever make it?” and “what I never get good at writing?” Just going out and doing things and breaking up the “routine” in a good way made me dwell less on my own head and thoughts and feelings…and I’ve come out on the other side just feeling better. Calmer. More like myself.

Taking note of that…definitely taking note.

That’s all I got for tonight. I owe a write-up for Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? That’s gonna happen this week. Starting the next SciFi titan tonight and super excited about it: Ray Bradbury. I’m going to start with The Martian Chronicles, which was his breakthrough novel, apparently. Super excited.

Goodnight, y’all. Wish much luck on a very productive, successful day tomorrow 🙂
