Had a wonderful day today with the Ho, Scott and Addie.

We went and got breakfast at Dupar’s after I took care of the pups in the morning. Those pancakes doooeeeee. It’s been a long, long while since I had them. Out of control. Then, it was so freaking nice out, we went walking up at the top of Coldwater Canyon…which is the top of the Fryman Canyon trail, if anybody knows what the hell that is who reads this thing. Ugh. It was so. Freaking. Pretty today. Mid to high 60s. Little breeze. Sunny. Clear.

Amaze-balls.

Then we dropped off the pups to get their hairs cut. I just had to pause for a minute to take a picture or two of the Coco, who is currently snoring next to me with her shiny brand-new hair cut. They’re SO SOFT you guys. So…soft…

Anywho, it’s a shorter one tonight because I’m wiped. But, before I go, as promised, a topic outside of just the day-to-day journaling. It has to do with Kesha. A pop artist that the Ho and I have enjoyed from time to time…well, she was just ordered by a judge to honor a music contract that she’d made with her producer…who sexually assaulted her.

Now…I understand a contract is a contract…and I also admit I don’t know too much about the particulars of this specific case…but here’s the bottom line: no contract is absent from law, and criminal behavior…like sexual assault…can and *should* be grounds for any sort of contract to be thrown out. No contract should ever be upheld when it means someone must continue working with a person who has abused them. And if that’s not the fucking law, then goddamnit shit needs to change. It’s abhorrent that a judge ruled to force Kesha to continue working with Dr. Luke. It’s fucking victim-blaming, and it’s not okay. I bet you could count on one hand the number of false rape allegations there are in any given year. Out of tens of thousands.

This story is all over my feed right now. I wish her the best, and may an appeal bring her the justice it’s clear she deserves, and the freedom to move on with her career.

That’s all for tonight. Peace!
