We’re in Chicago. That reminds me all of the sudden that I freaking haaaattteee it when people post “[insert town name], I am in you” as a tweet or status update. Yeah, friends, I’m lookin at you! Can we all join hands and agree it sounds a bit rapey? Or at the very least, uncomfortably sexual? Apparently we can’t because I still see that shit…

But, I digress. The Ho and I have arrived in Chicago, we’re in our swanky King-sized bed…which for a hot second was going to be two double beds for some very odd reason…and we’re all prepped and ready for the graduation festivities tomorrow. My brother Scott is graduating with a goddamn PhD. He’s so smart! So freaking proud of him…I can’t hardly handle it.

The family is in town, too. Mom and Dad and Seth, along with the man of the hour himself, met us at this tiny little pizza joint underneath the Riverfront Hotel and we all had dinner together. The Ho and I got there a little early and hung out at the bar, made friends with the bartender/host/bar manager/our freaking server…his name was Bryan (or Brian). He was super nice. Hooked us up. Had the whole restaurant practically to himself. I remember those days. BUT…if the people you got were decent customers, you could make a KILLING on those nights. I hope he did.

Our flight was easy peasey. We watched the first bit of Jessica Jones. Neither of us are totally sold on the series…but we’re interested at least. The writing is a bit rough, but we both like the main character. And she IS the show, especially in this case. I think, though, that Daredevil might end up being more our type of show…but we’ll see. It’s only the second episode we’re on…and there is stuff to like about the show.

We almost missed our flight. The Flyaway took waaaay longer than we thought…AND we hopped off at terminal 1 in LAX and hoofed it across the airport to our terminal 7 (directly across the U-shape) on foot because it was going to take the flyaway another half hour to work it’s way over there. That was a good decision because we got to our gate, no joke, ten minutes before the plane boarded. BUT…we made it.

Anywho…looking forward to tomorrow’s festivities. Gotta get some sleeps. Early morning!
