Man…the Ho and I are *wiped out*. Which of course means that we’re old.

Got up a bit later today, which was nice. Went and had donuts with the fam and then we walked around a nearby park for a bit. Said hi to some pups there. Then it was time to hoof it on over to the red line to head up north to Wrigley-ville and catch the Cubs game. My dad was so freaking excited to be there…it was amazing. And the game was a fun one. Back-to-back homers by the Cubs on back-to-back pitches. They won handily. 6-2, I think…and those 2 runs were scored in the 9th inning. That’s domination. This Cubs team is pretty damn good this year.

Then we went to Millenium park and walked around. Saw the bean and took a photo. Addie took her nephew to the kid’s park, which is amazing at Millenium park. Then, we walked the blocks along the river to Gino’s for some deep dish…and holy shit that was good. Best Chicago style pizza I’ve had. It was amaze-balls.

Oh, and I had a Chicago dog at the ball game that gave me the poops. I know, I know…over share…but it’s also true. I’m going to read this entry one day in the future and have completely forgotten about this, and then read it and be like “ohhhh yyyeeeaahhhh…I remember going to the ONE bathroom in that old stadium 7 million times!” You’re welcome future me. You are welcome.

Then we walked home and hung out for a bit before returning to our own hotel to slip into the hot tub for a bit…except that there IS no hot tub in this hotel. We tried the pool, but it was just too cold. So we went to our room and had a hot shower instead. THAT shit was amazing.

And now it’s only 11pm here…so 9pm at home…and I almost can’t keep my eyes open. It was a really nice day. Even walking along the river listening to Seth talk about how the photos taken on Venus are missing a forest of trees was amazing. I told him he needs to start emailing me these stories/posts/articles as he comes across them in his internet travels. They are PERFECT for a book series I’m developing. Well, HAVE been developing. It was a pilot script last year, but now I think I’d rather write it up as a book first. And all that “seeker” community stuff he was telling me about is perfect for that.

Anywho, that’s all for tonight, y’all. Thanks for reading. Still so freaking proud of my brother. Having a very nice trip! 🙂
