The Ho just belched coming into bed, our bed, at home, praise be to baby g…not the belch, the bed at home…but also the belch. I told her it sounded beautiful, and she replied that it meant that she loves me. And you know what? I know that’s the truth. We tend to find bodily functions pretty friggin hilarious around the panda household.

Another long day today. Woke up and grabbed some breakfast at a Cafe across from a recently-shuttered Fresh N Easy…which apparently has gone under out here in the states. Or at least California. Then we got ready and left the baby shower, set up, and then I took off to let the ladies do their thing. I took a nap, then got the summons to return, and we went back to Betty’s house (where we were staying). Liz got to hang with her for a bit while I packed up the car, and it was off down to the lower peninsula to meet J and her Dad for dinner…an early dinner, which turned out to be friggin delicious, seriously. Terrible service, but the food was freaking amazing. It’s no secret that Chinese food doesn’t make my top 5 favorite styles of cuisine, but man, this food was pretty goddamned good. And I was starving to boot.

THEN it was back on the road and we drove home. Liz memorized for her class scene this week, I listened to a podcast on networking, and we chatted about the days’ events and life in general. We swung by Kristen and Arg’s place to pick up Coops and Coco, who are currently so happy to be home, Cooper just started diggin on the bed for the perfect spot to sleep, and I am so ready for the sleeps.

The neck is feeling a slight bit better from last night, which is a relief considering I toughed it through this last drive of the trip…the driving is the main trigger for this shoulder issue, and I feel optimistic that with another dose of medication tonight and some rest tomorrow that it’ll clear up shortly. It’s not an injury, it’s just where I hold my tension, and driving seems to aggravate it over long distances.

That’s all for tonight, I’m afraid. More tomorrow 😉 Happy to be home!

PS- Liz made a very cute little video today of the baby shower setup, check it here.
