So, tonight was Lisa’s bachelorette party. And we boys crashed about 1/3 of the way in. It was a long raucous night of drinking and singing karaoke. Liz and I did “Love the way you lie,” like we always do. And by “always” I mean that we’ve done it together 3 or 4 times. It always goes over well. Liz, of course, does all the rap parts and I sing the chorus.

I also did a duet with Ryan and we sang “Wonderwall”…or, again, I should amend that and say that I crashed HIS singing of “Wonderwall” and then we did it together 😛 Hopefully he didn’t mind. Love that song. I remember the first time I heard it on the radio. I was listening on my headphones late at night and doing homework in middle school and it came on, and I was like “woaaahhhh…THAT song is FUN.” Power 96.3 – that’s what I listened to. It was the only top 40 radio station back then. My musical world has grown a lot since then, but that was really the beginning.

Ryan and I went golfing today. It was SO MUCH FUN. I can’t remember the last time I played 18 holes. Seriously. I don’t think I’ve done it once all this year. And probably the last couple months of last year too. Jesus. That’s crazy, right? Oh, it was so much fun. It was rough around the edges, but so much fun. My driving was poor, my mid-irons were poor…but my chipping was good, as were my approach shots. And my putting was excellent. I only 3-putted maybe four times all day. That was a minor miracle. I also made 1 par. Not that great…but again, my driving was TERRIBLE today, as were my shots in the roughshod and the fairways after that. Autocorrect just changed “roughs” to roughshod. How funny…but I do believe “rough” is short for roughshod, actually. Seems about right.

So, yeah, we played a round, and then we came home …and fuck me if I can’t remember what we did after that. I really can’t remember. I know I took a shower…and then a few hours later Liz was here with the pups. Link, Lisa and Ryan’s dog, is still a puppy and a bit nervous and unsure of himself…and mixed with Cooper’s own issues with anxiety turning into aggressive behavior, we decided that we wanted to really follow the proper procedure to meet each other. That meant Ryan and I taking the trio of pups on a really long walk together and only coming home and letting them meet each other until they were all calmed down.

It totally worked. No fights. They’re not playing quite yet and all getting along like gangbusters, but I honestly think that will happen after the first couple days. Link is a very playful pup, and Cooper definitely gets that way with dogs he knows, so we’ll see what happens. Coco, of course, is totally overwhelmed, but she does fine when we just ignore her. I was very proud of our little walk today. Night and day. At the beginning, Link was all over the place and both Coops and Coco were pulling at their leashes all hyped up and crazy…i.e.- dog fight material…and by the end of the walk, we were all walking together and not even paying attention to each other. It was like magic.

Anywho…it’s almost 3am, so it’s time to get some sleep, yo. I’ll catch y’all on the flip.
