Late start today for everyone given last night’s festivities. Not too late, but later than I’ve been up recently, anyway. First things first, I ate some food and walked the pups. Then, it was down to Petaluma to help Ryan and his parents get things situated for the big rehearsal dinner part tomorrow night. I felt like I was doing catering again 😛

They had a couple long tables they were going to put into their front room area, and we weren’t quite sure how they were going to fit, but they did beautifully. Even put linens on them so they were ready to go.

Man, it is hot tonight. Sorry, just had to observe that for a second. The heat rises in this house…as it does in every house now that I think about it…and since the bedrooms are upstairs and it was NINETY-THREE degrees today, well, that’s just a plain old recipe for heat isn’t it? It is.

Coops is having a dream right now. He started breathing funny and twitching, and now these little barks are coming out. He’s going full steam right now. Get it Coops! Get it! Probably chasing a cat…or a Coco. Now it’s over. Back to the normal sleepies. Little boo bear. Sleeping dog barks are the best. Anyone out there with a pup of their own knows what I’m talking about. It’s so funny because their mouths stay closed for whatever reason as they bark. So cute.

I brought up this fuzzy blanket from downstairs to use instead of the comforter on the bed…but now I’m thinking it might be better to just strip everything and sleep in the sheets. This is pretty damn warm. We’ll see how it feels and what the Ho thinks.

So, anyway, after moving furniture for his parents we came home and ate some food, I did some work for a few hours (definitely not hitting full time this week, alas, but that’s to be expected, I suppose), took a very brief nap, and then it was time to get Ryan back to pick his car up from the dealership. Forgot to mention that’s what Ryan and I did before meeting with his parents. He’s driving with Lisa down to LA next week for their honeymoon and he wanted to make sure his car was in good shape. Man…I remember when that car was brand new. Almost 10 years ago now. WHAT. THE. FUCK. That’s just not cool and not okay. Jesus.

So, did that, came back and fed the pups and took them on a walk with Liz. We went over to the golf course again and Coco just ran and ran and ran. It makes me want to live somewhere with a field or a yard. She just loves it so much. Cooper does too, but not like Coco does. Coco and Grass = True Love. Then, the Ho and I got all dressed up for our anniversary dinner…in our ACTUAL wedding clothes…and we drove back to Petaluma and ate at The Lazy Goat and it was soooo freaking good. Seriously…their caprese salad was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was insanely good. My entree wasn’t cooked perfectly, little on the dry side, but Liz’s was great and the wine was out of control good.

After dinner, we went and got ice cream at this little place that looked and felt exactly like an old school ice cream parlor. Reminded me a lot of Bon Beniere in Eureka. Very similar old-school feel. I had a root beer float. Delish. Then we came home and talked with Ryan for a little while as he was writing/tweaking his vows.

And that’s the news that’s fit to report, yo. The Ho will come to bed soon; she’s downstairs making decorations for the wedding right now, and I’m beat. Bushwhacked. Tinny Slippered. I made that last one up. I like it.

Night everyone! Tomorrow it’s rehearsal time!
