Oh my god. I’m on deadline overload. Or, maybe not OVERload, but definitely LOAD. Like in my pants.
Ha! Starting off the entry tonight with toilet humor. Buckle up, bish.
Yeah, so so so much stuff I have to get done, and like THIS WEEK to boot. Flix work is off the chain, I set myself an incredibly ambitious writing goal, and the building has been crrrrraaazzyyy busy lately. Oh, and the Ho starts work this week, which means dog-walkins twice a day with yours truly.
To be honest, I’m actually not complaining. I like being busy. I really do. Perhaps overwhelmed, or tired at times, but overall happy to be working. I’m at my most grounded self when I’m working. It’s the focus and the result that I enjoy. I hope that’s healthy…and I think it is, as long as I don’t over-do it. I’m guilty of that sometimes, but I think most of the time, I’m actually pretty good at it.
Like, I start my day at 8am and I work till 8pm…BUT…I do take a nap in the middle of that, and I do shut shit down at 8pm. That gives me two hours before bedtime to unwind. Like, tonight, I watched the Warriors beat the Hawks in a very, very close game. Back and forth the whole way, and the Warriors could never seem to shut them down. It came down to the last 15 seconds of the game. Plus, the Warriors were behind after two quarters and didn’t regain the lead till late in the third.
I’m enjoying watching basketball here and there. We’ll see how long it holds my interest, but it’s fun while it does. Just didn’t feel like playing a game tonight, or watching a movie. I just wanted to check out, maybe get the heartrate up watching some sports. And the Warriors are such a fun team to watch.
Writing was good today, but I failed at hitting 25 pages. I may have to scale that goal back if I’m going to fit it into 2 hours of writing time each day…but, I’m going to try to stretch to that goal again tomorrow and see what happens.
