Man…the Warriors got embarrassed tonight by Memphis. I didn’t watch the whole game, but I saw the whole second half…from the third quarter with Curry going off for 17(?) points and the Warriors extending themselves to a 24-point lead I think it was…to losing in overtime by 9 points. Complete collapse. They made two shots in the entire fourth quarter…TWO. I’m not sure, actually, if I’ve ever seen, at least with my own eyes, the Warriors lose a game like that.

I guess they did just a couple weeks ago with the Cavs…but again, I didn’t actually see that game. You know what another team was that used to blow games late, that had that as their stigma, the dark mark against them? The Thunder. KD’s Thunder.

Now, I’m not saying that Durant is a cursed player, or that he’s brought some sort of playing style with him to the Warriors that means they’re going to start blowing games late. I’m not saying that. I’m just shaking my head and pointing out the irony, that’s all.

This Warriors team clearly hasn’t fully come together. You can see it in that both Curry and Klay are off their game so far this year. Durant is a major presence to get used to, and their supporting cast has also changed a lot. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the crazy-ass 16-0 run the Grizzlies went on tonight was with the B-team lineup out there, correct? I mean, it was still up to the A-team to stop the bleeding, which they didn’t do. But they have work to do. Big time. It seems so much in the NBA is about mindset, and losing a game like this to a good (but mediocre) team, especially on a night where Curry goes for 40 points…that’s going to give a lot of teams the feeling they can beat you.

I worked today, got my shih tzu done. I’ve planned out my next couple months…lots of work to do. Not sure, actually, how I’m going to do it all, but here we are. I will find a way. I’m pledging right here and now that I will find a way. Priorities have to shift. This shit needs to get done.

The Ho and I also went out and had dinner together tonight at Umami Burger in Studio City! Oh, that was nice. And so, so delish. We really love their cheesy tater tots which didn’t used to be on the menu (you had to ask for them)…they changed, them! They’re still good, but they were just so different. Super creamy now, and bigger. Richer, somehow. Still good, but different. Then we went and walked around the shops there on Ventura, spent some time in the Barnes & Noble.

Coco just creeped her way out to hang out with the Ho, who I think is in her office right now. She just finished her Whimzee for the night. Man, Coops and her go CRAZY for their Whimzees. And they clean their teeth too. Better than greenies because greenies are too soft, and Coco just ends up swallowing them whole. The Whimzees, she actually has to chomp on for 15 minutes, which is the whole point.

That was my day today. How was yours?
