Today could have been a disaster! I went to be late, which means I slept in a bit to make sure I got my seven and a half hours…yes, that is a thing for me 😛 I wish it wasn’t, but I really do need at least seven hours of sleep, and 7.5 is my sweet spot…I hadn’t sketched out a plan for the day except I knew I needed to get this Netflix work done, and we had a random extracurricular field trip today to go and register for TSA pre-check.

Usually all things that would totally throw me off my game. They didn’t. I got my shit done, and in time to watch the Astros beat the Dodgers in game 2 and then watch the Warriors close out and beat the Raptors late in the game. An excellent day! 🙂

I did have a hiccup on writing out my two morning emails to my list subscribers. My internet went out whilst I was typing, I guess, and I totally lost a full email I’d been crafting for almost an hour. Yes! It does take me that long to write those damn things. I’m sure I’ll get better at them eventually. But, they’re done now,and ready to go.

It’s also already past time for sleeps. So, I guess I’ll just say that…I’m going to go for a big writing day tomorrow. Wish me luck with it. It’s okay if I don’t get it all done, it really is…but I want to set the big goal and stretch for it. FINISH this rough draft of the novel, and worry about fixing everything in the rewrite. Ideally, I would not like to work that way…I’d like to be spitting out pretty good rough drafts, like I did with Starstuff, if we’re going to compare…but this second novel is what it is. I have pressure and expectations on this second one to be good because I was so happy with how the first one turned out. And, here’s the thing: I know it can be that good. I really do. Maybe even better. But, I have to keep working on it, and much more importantly…FINISH IT. So…tomorrow is a big day. A small day, really, in the grand scheme of the whole project, which is also important to remember…but one I want to succeed in.

Wish me good fortune.
