I’ve been writing a blog every day now for four years.

FOUR YEARS.

I started writing every night before bed for the first time on October 29, 2013…and it changed my life. I’ve done SO MUCH since then, and I still have so much yet to go…but I really credit my blog for so much of that. My life is so much happier and fuller and more successful; making the decision to write every day and download my thoughts is truly a huge part of all that.

Note, that this blog entry is being posted on the 30th (even though I’ve back-dated it for the 29th, since it’s morning right now on the next day). I don’t know what else to say except that I drugged myself up last night in preparation to get a good night’s sleep with my injured leg, so that I could get up nice and early and get all my writing and editing done for the day today…and I forgot to write this thing! 😛

How ironic, I know, on the ANNIVERSARY of starting this blog. I’ve only ever forgotten once before, but here we are. I’ll never let it stop the streak, which we’ve almost got to the 1,500-day mark. We’ll cross that before the year’s end, won’t we? Crazy. And then another year and a half till 2,000 days. Man, I hope I have like five more books written by that point. Maybe even 10.

I’m not pausing to reflect today, like I have in other past entries that represent the blog-versary. And it’s not just because I’m writing this in the morning instead of the evening. I have too much to do right now. I’m determined, despite my hold up over the past couple days with my leg injury, to get this rough draft of Starstuff 2 written before I leave for this conference in Vegas, and I’m determined to get that done AND my editing done for Netflix.

So…I bid year four adieu, and I open my arms to year five – let’s rock this shit together. I have big plans! 🙂
