I just had a nighttime writing sesh, and it was *lit*. I might have to work writing at night into my schedule guys…or perhaps stretching out these sessions so they’re not all at once all the time. I wrote most of Starstuff at night. It’s just…night time is time I like to spend with my wife, and I like to refill my creative batteries by watching things and reading and listening to stuff.
But…maybe there’s room for both. Maybe sometimes I write in the morning, and sometimes when that’s a struggle, like it was today, I get done what I can and then I finish the rest in the evening, like tonight.
My goal was 3,800 words, and I wrote 2,779. That’s…close enough. I’m almost done with this giant setpiece of a sequence for the book. ALMOST. One last major section to get to. Petrick is being so heroic…but he doesn’t know what’s coming. Teeheee.
So, yeah…good writing day if not spectacular. I also got all most narration and Netflix work done. DIDN’T get to the two guys one trek work I wanted to do…but that might just have to take a back seat for a little while. We’ll see how it goes. I wanted to announce a release date for Season 3, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen now. I have to finish this book first. It’s more important. Waaay more important.
On the book front, I realized last night that my Book Barbarian promo is going to be on Cyber Monday, and some other indie authors have told me they’ve had some great success using Cyber Monday as a selling day…so…I asked a bunch of authors if they’d be willing to do a cross promo with me and swap newsletter spots, and a bunch of people have said yes. I’m really excited. I think it’s going to be a very successful day…and I’m going to have a pre-order up for book 2, because I will have FINSIHED the rough draft of this fucker, and I’ll actually feel secure enough to set a date and stick to it. Whew! What a difference a month makes 🙂
