You guys.

I was EPICALLY lazy today. A true day off. Don’t think I have had one in…man, a long time. Too long.

I ate leftovers, I watched Harry Potter and I tuned in to see the Warriors trounce the scuffling Bulls by 49 points. Yes. The Warriors beat another team by 49 points. I think they were…mad about losing to OKC a couple days ago.

The second Harry Potter movie is definitely better than the first, and I say that as someone who was wholly and completely taken with the first movie. The opening is SO STRONG, and the mystery at the center of it is very well done. Stronger than the first story.

The Ho and I watched some Great British Bake-off. We’ve almost finished the most recent season. Alas. Watching that show really makes me want to take up baking. That was something I did with my mom a lot when it was just me and her. She had this baking mat that she’d use, with places for spoons and measuring cups and stuff of that sort…and I had my own kid-sized mat, and I would help. She’d give me a little bit of whatever dough or mix she was working on, and I’d help her. I must have been two. I’ve loved baked goods ever since.

I also can’t summarize my day today without mentioning that I took an EPIC two-and-a-half hour nap. I rarely, raaaaarely take naps that long, but today, I literally couldn’t get myself to wake up before that. I tried. Fell immediately back to sleep. Given that it was such a lazy day, that suited me just fine.

I think that’s all that’s on my mind tonight. Going to start a new book. I was trying to read through this Sugarman’s book on Ad copy, but I think that will have to be put on the shelf for just a bit – I need something entertaining to read, and the Ho loved this book Six Wakes…which I actually already knew about! Its author is a podcaster, and last year when I was tearing through all the different podcasts on writing looking for the ones I liked, I came across her and she was talking about this book coming out. Then it did come out, and I noticed it was getting quite a lot of good press — NPR even did a bit on it. So, yeah. Excited.

Night!
