Today was an odd day. It was odd in the sense that I have a hard time accounting for all of it 😛 It was one of those days that feels like it had several distinct parts to it, even though I was home for all of it.

Woke up late, which is part of why it felt so weird. That has been a function of staying up so late with Kerry and the Ho the past couple nights hanging out, which I wouldn’t change for the world! We played a bit of the old Zelda tonight, in fact, and she helped me solve some puzzles. But yeah…woke up late, ate breakfast and walked pups. It was raining. I had my podcasts to entertain me, and the pups were all bundled in their coats and sweaters.

Then, I actually got some work done. I had some phone calls to make, some re-records to do, and some other housekeeping activities for the marketing, writing, and apartment building stuff. Nothing major, but several of the smaller items on my list.

And then, like a flash, it was time for lunch. I watched a bit of the very first Iron Man, which is so good! I’d totally forgotten how good it was, actually…Robert Downey Jr. quite literally launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it exists today. He is that movie. And it’s crazy because he was quite the risky choice at the time. That movie was his comeback from a career prematurely derailed by drug problems. It’s worked out so far for them, I’d say, no?

After that and doing a little more work, I decided to take a nap. Coco slept up by my chest, curled up and warm. I had some tummy problems that started around then and persisted throughout the day. Nothing major, but enough to notice it. Nap was good, and then we went for walkies with the pups after that, and then it was time for dinner.

Kerry and I went to Ralph’s and picked up some sushi together, then we came home and watched Three Billboards together, which we both enjoyed. It’s a fine movie. Great performances, for sure, some really problematic stuff with how it treats a very racist and bigoted character, and some uneven moments in terms of its tone and message…but its core is still solid, anchored by Francis McDormand, who I’d be fine winning an Oscar for it. It’s not her best performance ever, but she is rather incredible at what she does, and it’s that excellence, which is on full display in this movie, that makes her deserving of whatever award you feel like giving her.

Then, as I mentioned already, we played Zelda for a while together 🙂 Pups were all snuggled up with us on the couch. It’s cold. And it’s late.

Time for the sleeps.

Good night!
