We walked so much today. SO. MUCH. On the beach. On paths. On sidewalks.

I got new sandals today. Right before we left, as I was packing, I realized that my trusty leather sandals I’ve had for years were missing. It was time to get new ones anyway, but I have no freaking idea where they went. So, we went over to the shops, and got me some news ones.

Breakfast was delish. Walking around was amaze. New sandals are super comfs except for where they rub on this part of my foot that ALWAYS gets rubbed whenever I get new sandals. It’ll rub my skin right off if I don’t put a bandaid on, so I’ll have to do that tomorrow till they break in a bit. Scintillating stuff, I know!

Liz got some AMAZING news today about a project she’d been up for, congrats my love, and that news came in right as we were sitting down to eat the most DELICIOUS dinner. It was at this total “local” kind of place in what basically looked like an upscale strip mall, and they serve fresh fish caught that very same day by the owner/chef? of the restaurant. Today, it was ahi tuna, and holy CRAP is was so freaking good. We had that served two ways, basically: a tartar appetizer and a dinner plate chefs-choice style, which was it essentially seared, crusted in pepper, served with some mashed potatoes, a sautéed side of veggies, and some gd delicious pita. The tartar was my favorite. Holy crap, it was good.

We got some time at the beach. Although the water in the ocean is very, very pleasantly warm, it was rather cool and windy today (for Maui! Don’t get it twisted, it was still mid 70s) which meant that coming OUT of the water for any time at all was very chilly. Hopefully we have a warmer day or two here, but we’ll see. This is the only place in the world I’ve been to where I really enjoy swimming in the ocean. It’s one of the things that makes Maui so magical.

The Warriors won. Yay! The A’s lost. Boo. The Warriors win was without Curry still, and they *dominated* the Pelicans. That was nice to see, particularly because the Pelicans absolutely destroyed the Trail Blazers, and the Blazers were a team that we had trouble with. The A’s got trounced, on the other hand. Not a good day for our pitching staff.

The A’s pitching staff is odd. If we’re ahead, we have a crop of decent–and I really just mean *decent*–relievers that can finish the game. But, man, after that, we have nothing, and I mean NO-THING. Runs aplenty for the opposition, and that’s what happened today.

Anywho, Liz has finished editing together the footage we took from today, so Imma go watch that, and then it’s SLEEPY TIME.

I wrote 650 words today. They were GOOD, too. Night 🙂
