Okay, so we came up to Portland for, like, the first decent weather in FOREVER according to our siblings. So, that’s nice 🙂

It was foggy and misty this morning, which I totally miss from growing up in NorCal, and then for the whole second half of the day, it was clear and sunny and very mild; not cold, but not hot. Oh, it was lovely.

Woke up, went with J along with Bear and Mike to an appointment J had in the alphabet, and then walked around there. It’s one of the nicest areas of Portland, the alphabet district, and we had the pups.

It was so misty there, it was super wet on the ground, and that’s not so great for Coco. She just gets super soaked and muddy. So, we went to this pet store down there that we’ve been to, like, every single time we’re in Portland, and we bought her a new sweater. See, we brought Coco a sweater. We packed one! But, we didn’t think we were going to need it. So…we bought a new one 🙄😂

Then we had breakfast/lunch when J was done with her appointment at this place called Papa Hayden’s – kind of a French place. Had lunch food, and then took home what that place is really known for: its desserts. Omg. They were so freaking good. Liz got the best one, which was called the Rhubarbarella. Rhubarb glaze-type topping, a strawberry mousse with fresh cut strawberries in it, on top of a pistachio cake. Holy crap. Delish. The one I chose was a passion fruit cake that was good, and J’s was a huckleberry/raspberry cake. All three were good, but Liz’s was the best.

We came home after that. Mike was getting ready to be picked up by a friend to go the airport. He’s doing a traditional Vegas bro trip to draft their NFL fantasy teams. One friend came over and hung out for a while, and then the two of them were picked up.

Took a nap. Scott and Addie came over after that and we chit-chatted for a while together, then we all walked over to this pizza place down the street that was so good! Legit delicious. Reminded the Ho and I a lot of the good pizza places in LA – very stone-fire, thin rustic crust, good-ingredients kind of pizza.

Hung out a little more after that; I showed Scott where I was in Zelda, showed him MarioKart. Then they went home and we went with J to a friend’s pre-wedding party back in town. That was fun, too.

But, man…we’re beat. Oh! And I *did* do some writing. Not that many words, about 500 I think, but I fixed a scene that wasn’t working and I should be able to move forward. Yessssss.

An excellent day 🙂

Good night!
