We’re up in NorCal. Ukiah, specifically, which is weird because I’ve known Ukiah as a town off the 101 freeway since I was…3? Maybe even earlier?
We’re here for a wedding–Lizderfer is getting hitched, and all the Disjointed crew is up to celebrate–and it’s weird to have all these LA people up in what is essentially my childhood hood. Almost. Few hours north of here, but essentially my hood.
We’re staying at a Comfort Inn. We went to a soiré down in Hopland, which is where the actual wedding is, and then we came back to the hotel and hung out together after getting some eats from the Walmart across the street.
It’s good times.
What’s CRAZY times is that the Ho and I just bought a new car! It’s a brand-new Prius, and it’s pretty dope as shit. Plug in, so we can drive it around in pure electric mode. All the tech you can shake a fist at. Sound system is legit. It’s a fun car. I hope it lasts is for another 18 years, which is how long Panda Mobile lasted us, R.I.P.
I’ve never bought a brand new car. I’ve bought *almost* new, certified pre-owned, but never brand-new. It’s awesome.
We flew up to the Bay this morning to buy the car, and then drove up the rest of the way.
And I’m freaking exhausted.
