Today was an odd day. I didn’t feel like I earned my “off” day in the middle of the week because I wrote so few words yesterday, but I also had a mine to treat it as such anyway, given that I’m trying to establish a pattern. It ended up kind of in between.
I did some *dope* outlining tonight. So good. Getting to the point where I can’t wait to write these scenes, and maaann…that’s what I’ve been missing. What a change. What a turnaround.
Truly truly, it has to do with making sure that I spend at least a few minutes with the project every single day. I cannot understate how powerful that is. Even just a few minutes keeps the ball rolling, makes tomorrow feel like it’s within reach, that every big output day is just around the corner. Day by day. Brick by brick, the house gets built.
Not sure why I went with “house” there as my metaphor, but there it is 😂
As I outline the ending chapters of this novel, ideas for the rewrite are getting thick and thicker. In a good way. Story elements are popping into being that I can now go back and seed to make everything tight and justified. Oooo…it’s finally getting there!
Anywho. So, soooo much more work. But I will finish. I will. I’m excited to finish.
And to finish, I need a good night’s sleep. Good night!
