I have dry hands, yo.

I know! This is a red alert. Thank you for understanding.

It’s been so dry here in LA. It all started with that cold northern wind in Vegas the last day I was there at the conference. That same wind there means dry Santa Ana winds here in LA. Crazy, huh?

Obviously, dry hands are in no way comparable to the OTHER side effect of the Santa Ana winds: fires. Those are real. My dry hands are not.

The fires continue to burn tonight out west of where we live. Apparently they made some headway today, and the wind didn’t seem to be all that bad tonight, so I hope that trend continues.

Today was getting up, doing some email stuff, taking the pups out for walkies (quick ones because of the terrible air quality), and then eating a decent breakfast. Because…

…Aaron and Marie got married today!

Liz and I had to get there early to set stuff up. Mainly, we set up the check-in table, the place-card table (which was a TASK let me tell you), and the amazing wedding-cake-looking chocolate-covered Oreos that they had made as gifts for the guests on the tables.

We did all that, and then suddenly, Aaron and Marie were standing in front of an arch, holding hands, and getting hitched. I’m so happy for the two of them, and I hope they have an amazing, happy life together.

I’m so happy to be married, you guys. Honestly. I love it. I love my wife, andI love being married. Our little family with Cooper and Coco is perfect, and though we definitely have a long way to go to be living our ideal lives (namely a home to call our own, I think), but we are happy together.

It’s not something to be taken for granted. That’s been illustrated to us quite recently, actually, and so I won’t take it for granted. I love you bear! So much 😘

Ceremony was lovely. Then we helped them take pictures, because helping out is good for both our social anxieties. Dinner was actually surprisingly good (the filet was so tender!), and so was dessert. The food was impressive for a wedding. That’s weird to say, but in my experience, wedding food is always “meh.” This was actually pretty damn good. And then we danced for a hot minute when there was a stretch of songs we loved.

Aaron and Marie: I wish you love, happiness, and adventure!

Tomorrow is a work day for me. I’m diving into using this place called The Muse Rooms. A place to work away from the apartment and the building. I need to find my focus. I’m excited. Legitimately. I think this is going to be a good thing, a very, very good thing.

Good night! 🙂
