I’m a bit sunburned. It’s finally happened: I actually got a sunburn in Maui.
It’s on the tops of my hands…which is so annoying, because I don’t think I’ve EVER had a sunburn on the tops of my hands. How did that even happen??? I slathered myself all over the rest of my body WITH MY HANDS.
My face got a little pink, too, and my eyes are irritated right now…but it was worth it. Today was magic. The water was so warm. I boogie boarded. I floating. I lounged in the shade…it was amazing.
I’m also super tired right now, so this 2000th entry is probably going to be a bit short, but here’s the quick recap:
We went to the Andaz for breakfast (walked over from the beach access point, so we got freeeee parking), then we went down to the beach and just asked for a pair of chairs and an umbrella and they just gave it to us! We tipped them nicely, of course.
Then, we swam, swam, swam…hence the sunburns. Then, we got Ululani. Then we got dinner at the fish market; Ahi sandwich and fried fish tacos…HOLY CRAP. So good. We ate them on our balcony.
And theeeennn…the fire alarm went off in our building. We grabbed our must-have shit–my computer, iPad, wallet, phone, and Liz’s purse–and we booked it down the stairs. Turned out to be a false alarm, thankfully, but we hung out long enough to make sure the fire department was sure there wasn’t any real danger.
Now…it’s sleep time.
What a day. A perfect 2000th day.
