We’re nestled into the Mark Spencer Hotel in downtown Portland.

Long day of travel. We were up at 5:30 (well, first alarm went of at 5:30…we were UP closer to 5:50), flight was at 8:00. That was all smooth.

I slept in and out on the plane, which is a couple-hour flight. Didn’t get up feeling any more rested, though, to be honest. I don’t get good sleep on planes. I wish I did. It’s more to pass the time.

Got our rental car from PDX, which the Ho and I both agreed is one of our legit favorite airports. It’s always been pretty low-key for us. Then, we drove down to J and Mike’s house to hang out for a while. Had some sushi. Made some foam heads of Char Char for the photo booth. Then took a quick nap before…

…Barbecue time! Mike made delicious bbq. Chicken, steak, asparagus…this quinoa salad that was actually delicious, which is saying something of quinoa and me. Watched some of Thursday Night Football, Eagles versus Packers. It was a crazy high-scoring game. Not sure who won.

Scott came to hang out, and we still hadn’t checked into our Hotel, so we decided to go do that and then get some drinks together nearby. We’re literally right in the middle of downtown, so we walked over to Deschutes Brewery and had some dessert and beers. I love my brother so much. Love hanging out with him. I wish we lived closer. I know I say that every time we come up here to visit, but I really do mean it.

Drinks and dessert were wonderful. Scott has to work tomorrow, so we bid him adieu and now we’re up in our hotel room ready to pass the fuck out and sleep in 😂

It was a good day. I’m happy to be here with family.

Good night!
