Today, you guys, was a solid day.
I was in a funk last week. And a bit early this week. I’m officially out of it now. Feeling better. Feeling more even-keeled. Feeling more myself.
I was nervous, honestly, about moving to working with a new editor. It’s just change, you know? An unknown. I didn’t know how it was going to go.
We met today for our first real session together and it went great! Like…really good. I got everything out of it that I would get from my sessions with J. It was wonderful.
Work was busy again today, too. Definitely busy. But keeping my head above water. Not feeling overwhelmed. Just busy.
Came home and watched Picard with bear. It was a decent episode. Some genuinely fun stuff, like for real. Execution again is frustrating in parts; wasted scenes that don’t turn, or opportunities missed to ratchet up the tension or impact…
But it was fine. That’s my reaction to the show so far: it’s fine. It DOES do its job. It does enough. For me.
I do still wish it would blow me away. But fine will do.
