Okay…now that I’ve gone back and written my missing entry for last night when I wasn’t feeling well and just passed out…

It’s day 2 of whatever the sickness is. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to write out the progression of my symptoms, just in case this DOES turn out to be the dreaded COVID-19.

The very, very first symptom I felt was a very, very slight tickle in my chest. I’d only feel it really at night, laying down, but it was that feeling that if I were to inhale to fast or hard, I’d cough. I remember feeling that about Monday or Tuesday of that week, so…around 3/17 or 18. At the time, I really thought it was just psychosomatic.

The first obvious symptom was on 3/20 – I had a headache all that day, the kind that wrapped all the way around my head, forehead to neck. We thought maybe it was allergies or me being dehydrated, but then that evening, I got body aches and I was suuuuuper tired. I had to go to bed at 7:30 because I was so exhausted.

Then I woke up on Saturday 3/21 feeling almost completely back to normal. We wrote it off as me being stressed out with everything going on.

For the next week, the very faint tingle in my chest persisted, but didn’t get worse. I was still more tired than normal, but otherwise felt fine.

On Thursday of this week, 3/26, I inhaled orange juice, which made me cough, and then suddenly the tingle in my chest was more than a tingle. It developed into a cough, the headache definitely came back, and by that evening, I was feeling body aches and super fatigued again, but this time with a low fever of around 99.5-100.

Yesterday, the cough and fever continued along with the other symptoms. Not really any worse, but not feeling any better. I did wake up with acute pain in my forehead right above my left eye. That felt like sinus pain. It was gone by midday.

Today, more of the same, except my chest is now sore behind my sternum and my cough is a little bit worse. I’d say my fever has been better today, actually. I went through large stretches of the day where my temperature was normal. Fatigue was a little less today, too. I took one nap for about an hour as opposed to several naps the previous day. Oh, and Liz’s dad asked me if I had red eyes, so I looked in the mirror tonight and it do. They’re red in both eyes on the sides of my pupils closes to my nose. Not sure if that’s significant, but 🤷‍♂️

And that takes me up to date!

Hope I feel better soon, but doing fine in the meantime 🙂
