It’s rough not being able to spend time with Liz. Close time together, anyway. We eat dinner together on the floor, me leaning up against the bedroom wall that looks out through the door into the living room, and her on the floor of the living room facing opposite me. So, we do have that.

It’s hard, though. No way around it.

I’m assuming I have viral conjunctivitis (pink eye) in both my eyes, just from how red they are and the way they feel, which is not itchy or dry, the symptoms I get when I’m suffering from allergies. They’re painful, like they’ve been scratched.

Not sure what’s up with that. They haven’t progressed to the point of any discharge or swelling up, which is definitely not the way pink eye seems to work, so I don’t know. It’s weird.

The worst symptom of the past two days, however, is the bitter taste in my mouth. It’s constant. I can’t get rid of it. My mouth constantly tasted like I chewed up a tylenol. Bitter. Metallic. Nasty.

I haven’t, thankfully, totally lost my sense of taste, though. When I eat something, it’s not all just bitter. I can taste it.

Anyway…I obviously still sick. It’s up and down during the days, it really is. I’ll wake up feeling much better, but then by lunch time, I’m achy and fatigued. And the congestion comes and goes like crazy. I’ll be super congested one hour, and then almost clear the next.

Looking forward to feeling better.

I have recovered some, though. I was able to work today and not have to stop and nap until 4pm. And my antibiotics didn’t make me nearly as nauseous today, so that’s a relief. That was rough yesterday.

The biggest sign, though, that I’m feeling better is that I put in a whole day’s work and then still had energy to install the bedside lamps that Liz bought a million years ago for our new bedroom setup. They. Look. So. Good. The picture for tonight’s entry doesn’t really do them justice.

Anyway…off to bed. Night. Hope you’re all doing well out there!
