I finished a rough outline of the story for Old Glory. It’s solid. I can see the story from beginning to end. I love it. When it’s there and polished, it’s going to hit all of the beats it needs to give that really satisfying thrill.
I mean…I hope. If I do it right 😛
It’s a story that’s been told over and over again for a long, long time. The trick to making it feel fresh, for me anyway, is making sure the characters are real and compelling. They’re the saving grace of a well-worn story. Plus, I’m going to find a way to slip in some surprises here and there, too 🙂
