Not getting what you want…
Damn, if that isn’t a life skill. Disappointment is hard to swallow.
I’m thinking about that tonight not because I actually had to face it today, but rather because I’m bracing for it later down the road. For the panda project, we might not be able to quite get exactly what we want, and the logical side of me is like “it’s fine, let it go, adjust,” and the emotional side of me is like “but, I want what I want!”
Busy weekend. Hurt my finger, poor little guy. Little skin off the top for no good reason, and now he’s in a bandaid with some neosporin. Should be right as rain soon enough.
Coops is also recovering well. He’s in his little donut, which he doesn’t mind so much because he loves to sleep with his head leaning up against something anyway, and the donut does a nice job of that. Leg swelling looks like it’s gone, he was able to go on both walks today with no apparent issues…he should be fully recovered lickity split.
Work next week will be busy, but brief thanks to Thanksgiving. Looking forward to getting some stuff done, and then taking a little tiny break. Then…sprint to the end of the year.
