Today was better. Much better.
I had a busy ass day today, but dagnabbit if I didn’t push through it all AND get some solid work in on the book. I have a couple scenes to write, a bunch to just kind of tweak, and then some little bits and bobs to check on and make sure I’m not doing stuff like over-using the word “singular” or “clocked.” Spoiler: I am.
I’d love to be done with it tomorrow. Not sure that’s going to happen, so I won’t dwell on that. Rather, I’ll just focus on putting in the hours. Tomorrow should be less crazy. I tried to kinda clear the decks a bit. We’ll see if it works.
Stuff is coming together, too, for the conference. Looking forward to it this year. A lot on my shoulders, but I can handle it. I have faith in the team I’ve assembled. They’ve always worked out in the past.
Got good news from work today; good feedback. Some praise and thanks for my work, and that was just really nice to hear. I thrive off positive feedback. I crave it. Probably more than I should, so hearing that was wonderful.
Big project is moving along, too. Major progress today! Major. Close, so close, to being able to talk about it. I know! The anticipation. But, it’s close.
Warriors won tonight. We’re 4-0 to start the season and some more winnable games coming up. A couple tough ones, too, for sure, but our team is sooooo much deeper than it was last year or the year before. Steph doesn’t have to go crazy for us to win a game. Granted, I don’t think we’ve played anyone yet who’s a LEGIT title contender. Some people think the Lakers are. I…do not. I don’t think they’ll stay healthy enough. And even if they do, I don’t think they’ll be fast enough. Which is a shame, because LeBron looks soooo good. AD, too. Not sure it’s enough, though.
That’s what I got for ya tonight. Oh, except to say that Great British Baking Show is the best. The last new episode was a german-themed week and they made some reallllyyyy good-looking stuff. Cookies. Cakes. Yum.
