Worked me arse off today. But! all in the service of being free and clear to head out of town tomorrow to see Joe and Madhuri and Ashika for Thanksgiving. Oooohhhh it’s going to be so nice to see them.
We were also going to see my mom and dad, since they’re at Bear Clover working on the property there right now, and that’s only about an hour away, BUT…
Propane leak. Dad’s working on it. Can’t get away. That JUST happened this evening, so. Boo. But, we get to see them in just a couple weeks, anyway.
Book continues to plug away, modestly. I do check its sales rank every so often. And, I put a link to Starstuff in the back of it, and apparently, someone has decided to click that link and start reading it on Kindle Unlimited. So, that’s very satisfying to see. Now, I just need, like, 10,000 other people to do the same 😛
That’s not going to happen right away. For sure. I need to get the next couple books out before we can really start advertising. I know this. But, still. It’s exciting to see even just one person enjoy the book enough to want to read more from me. It helps me keep going.
It’s crazy that Thanksgiving is just two days away. This year feels like it’s flown by, kind of. It also hasn’t? It’s a weird in-between. And so different from last year. What even is time, any more. I feel like all my markers have been disrupted. It’s been two solid years of disruption…
But, tonight, here I sit in bed, next to Coco, with Coops down by my feet…and it was a good day. A very good day.
