Busy, busy BUSY weekend.
Highlight was getting to see Kristen and Arg, for sure. They took our “old” table, and I say that in quotes because it isn’t old. It’s only a few years old. But, we have a new one, so I guess that’s the old one. They took it. Which is wonderful. Solves the issue of too many tables!
We’re crushing the move. So much so that we had to downgrade our moving company to a smaller operation with a lower minimum, because we’ve moved so much of our stuff! It’s going to save us a ton. Whew.
Also, sold another 1/3 of my “stuff”…and got enough money to buy the new computer speakers that I wanted. I’m SO EXCITED. What I’m getting is supposed to be really, really nice. I hope it lives up to the hype. And, you know what? If it doesn’t I’ll just return them and get something else. That’s the beauty of it all. I don’t think I’m going to be disappointed, though.
The only reason, really, I’m getting a new set of speakers for my office is because the old speakers would hum whenever they were turned on. HATE that shit. Can’t stand it. So…slightly higher end I must go. And this new set I got is decently high-end, I guess. It’s kind of middle-tier. Audioengine. They have a great reputation. I’m not going for their top of the line stuff. It’s too big. I don’t need that much. So, I’m going small. Set of their smallest bluetooth-enabled speakers, and then their new tiny subwoofer. Both are supposed to pack a punch. We. Shall. See. My office is small. And I’m looking forward to not having to listen so much on my headphones!
Hoping work isn’t crazy busy this week, but we’ll see. Lots to do. SO MUCH to do. Primarily, I need to set up my office, and get our internet over there upgraded to the fastest possible. And move the rest of our shit. We’re close on that front. Like, legitimately close. The house is pretty much moved. It’s bits and pieces now, which obviously, take sooooo much more time than you’d ever expect. So, I’m bracing for that.
