Today, the birthday celebration for Liz kicked off.
Her sister and dad came into town. J first. Liz went and picked her up while I fed and walked the dogs. Then we had some food together, or at least Liz and I did. And then we went to Costco and stocked up on provisions for the week. Our fridge is filled to the MAX. Very happy about that.
Then Lin showed up and I spent a little time doing some catchup work in my office, while they took a brief snooze. Or, at least J did. Lin didn’t. Lunch was done at that point—Liz made DELICIOUS Japanese curry, omg—and so we all sat down and had lunch together.
Took a nap after that. A nice long one. And then we all set up the table outside and started on a My Favorite Murder puzzle till dinner arrived. BCD for the win. It was legit delicious, which takeout soon tofu isn’t always. This was fresh as fuck.
Coco was literally howling for a walk at that point, so we all went did a stroll around the neighborhood. Coco, the maniac, wanted to run the entire time, so I did that with her in spurts. We continued work on the puzzle after that, opening up doors and windows to let the cool breeze in. It was gorgeous tonight. And I love how we can cool down the house by opening everything up. It’s…magic.
I capped off the day with a shower, and now we’re all snuggled in bed *on* *time* ready for sleep.
I’m up tomorrow at 6:45. Back into my routine.
