So, the refit Enterprise model, the one from the movies, is sitting in Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin lobby. He bought it, presumably from the big Christie’s auction in the aughts, when Paramount offloaded a ton of Star Trek memorabilia and ephemera.
All the comments in the Twitter thread are about stealing her, and it just made me think: that’s a movie right there. The Enterprise is real, somehow, with little people inside, trying to free her to go back to space where they belong. And they need help. From a fan, of course.
Maybe I’ll write it some day. A fan fic.
