Whew. Finished a couple projects that had me HUSTLIN. Thank lawd. I also had a strong writing day. Figured some SHIT out. I think. We’ll see. It’s really, really interesting how getting to the third act showdown really exposes all of the holes in the story that’s come before it. Missed setups. Missing motivations. New ideas for payoffs that need to be planted well before in order to work.

That’s where I’m at right now. Happy to be there. Found what my adventure was in the last bit of the story. Action, action, action.

I treated myself by heading out to Total Wine & Spirits in Northridge and picking up a couple bottles of Beaujolais, which is a red wine not unlike a Pinot Noir that I’ve never actually had before, but heard about on one of the Sommelier docs that I’ve watched recently on Hulu. It’s a region just south of Burgundy, which makes win very similar to that more-famous region…for a fraction of the price.

I got two bottles. Both highly rated, which I really have no idea what that means…and I opened one of them. It was delicious. Not mind-blowing, but very good. Very easy to drink, fruity, tart/acidic, dry, with a kind of…minerally aftertaste. Apparently, that it’s exactly how it’s supposed to taste.

I know nothing about wine. But, I’m always on the lookout for something to nerd into…and the nerd rabbit hole for wine goes deeeeep. Not sure I’ll ever go down it to any substantial degree, but it was fun to go a grab something I’d heard about. Total Wine & Spirits ALSO has a really good bourbon selection, sooo….

I signed up for the rewards program.

Night night.
