Might rain here tonight! It’s showering in the mountains, currently. We just gathered up everything outside that wouldn’t do well in the wet…I hope it does rain.
Tommen is gone. Sigh. Back home with his REAL family. He’s gotten so easy to take care of. He’s definitely used to us. He used to freak out when they would leave. Shake. Whine. Need to be held. He doesn’t do aaannyyyy of that anymore. Nice and calm the whole way through. Sweet boy.
I did self-care today. I went out to my wine spot and picked up a couple of bottles I’ve never tried. I mean…here’s the thing: I‘ve never tried ANYTHING, really, when it comes to wine. They’re ALL new to me. But, I gassed up my car, washed it, did a little tiny bit of shopping like got myself some sweet tea and these cookies I like and some fruit. And then I went out to Northridge and looked at bottles.
They have a pretty dope selection there…but not quite as good as I thought. They didn’t have any of the wines I was looking for except one, and it was a US wine. What that tells me is they’re going to be a good place to find wine from around here, but not amazing at the european stuff. I’m not intentionally focusing on european wines, mind you…those are just the ones that have been recommended so far. BUT, I am sure there are some shops around somewhere in LA that will end up having the bottles I’m searching for.
Anywho…time for bed. Gonna get up on time tomorrow and ACTUALLY start day 1 of 14. Night night.
