Addie is in town! The clan is all together. It feels so good.
It rained. It’s FINALLY cooling down…and it looks like it’s going to be clear tomorrow, so I think we’re in really good shape for the birthday festivities to COMMENCE. I’m so excited.
Shed is done. Stuff has been moved inside. It has a small leak by the front door, but I think it can be sealed up with some epoxy. Maybe. We’ll see. Honestly, it hardly ever rains here, so it’s not the end of the world. I’ll be putting my bike over there, suspended at 90º, so it’ll be juuuuust fine.
I’m just so glad it’s up. We have room in our house that we’ve been craving since we moved in, stuff that we literally couldn’t fit anywhere else in the house. It now has a home. THANK YOU LORD.
AND the yard is in decent shape for the first time since around this time last year. Bushes have been trimmed. Leaves have been blown and raked.
Oh! The parents’ car died today. Or, not died, but it’s in bad shape. Something in the engine isn’t working right, and “something” is as close a diagnosis as we could get since all the shops were closing when it happened and they’ll remain closed until Monday morning. Le sigh. Hopefully it’s not too bad. We’ll see.
