We Grand Designed it into the new year.
Pretty sure we were watching the show this time last year. We were rolling up our sleeves and prepping the house for the move, to be honest. Painting. Cleaning. Boxing. Updating fixtures. It was…so much work.
This year we got to kinda just enjoy our house, which is amazing. Like, truly amazing. We sat on our couch with the heat on (set low, since we kinda both like it cool, even in the winter time…but not THAT cool), snuggled up with snacks and the pups, and watched Grand Designs on our new TV.
Living. The. Dream.
I truly mean that. I don’t take it for granted.
We also got to hang with Stephen and Thida earlier in the day. We watched Top Gun: Maverick together. So fun! Very much enjoyed it. Perhaps not quite up to the hype that I’d been told about, but the movie works. And the flying is incredible. And we ate incredible food; Liz made her endive chicken. They brought pies from All Day Baby. It was such a fun hang.
And now…sleep on the last night of the year.
Tomorrow, the future begins.
